Doesn't Remind Me - Audioslave

I never was an audioslave fan but I specially liked the video of this song

I walk the streets of Japan till I get lost
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
With a graveyard tan carrying a cross
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I like studying faces in a parking lot
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I like driving backwards in the fog
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything

Chorus
The things that I’ve loved the things that I’ve lost
The things I’ve held sacred that I’ve dropped
I won’t lie no more you can bet
I don’t want to learn what I’ll need to forget

I like gypsy moths and radio talk
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I like gospel music and canned applause
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I like colorful clothing in the sun
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I ilke hammering nails and speaking in tongues
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything

Chorus
The things that I’ve loved the things that I’ve lost
The things I’ve held sacred that I’ve dropped
I won’t lie no more you can bet
I don’t want to learn what I’ll need to forget

Bend and shape me
I love the way you are
Slow and sweetly
Like never before
Calm and sleeping
We won’t stir up the past
So descretely
We won’t look back

Chorus
The things that I’ve loved the things that I’ve lost
The things I’ve held sacred that I’ve dropped
I won’t lie no more you can bet
I don’t want to learn what I’ll need to forget

I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn’t remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand what’s mine is ours
If it doesn’t remind me of anything

Of Sardars

Hello people
Heres what I got in my inbox sent to me by Ridhi Kapur

---mail begins here---
I was standing at jalandhar station when my attention went towards
a Sikh youth standing near me wearing a Black turban having a long
beard and wearing a kirpan over his shirt looking similar to a
terrorist.
After a while, one local train arrived, which was totally packed.
The Sikh youth tried to alight the train but failed to do so. Just
then a voice was heard from the back coach 'Sardarji Barah Baj
gaye' (Sir it's 12 o'clock!)
The Sikh youth looked over at that voice maker who was a young
Mischievous type of person and instead of showing any anger made a
smile towards him.
The smile made was so enigmatic that it seemed as if some type of
truth lies behind it. Not able to resist my temptation, I walked
towards him and asked why did he smile at that person who teased
him.* **The Sikh youth replied,
'He was not teasing me but was asking for my Help'*. I was
surprised with these words and he told me that there was a big
history behind that which one should know. I was eager to know the
History and the Sikh youthnarrated:
During 17th Century, when Hindustan was ruled by Mughals, all the
Hindu people were humiliated and were treated like animals. Mughals
treated the Hindu women as there own property and were forcing all
Hindus to accept
Islam and even used to kill the people if they were refusing to
accept.Thattime, our ninth Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bahadarji came
forward,in response to a request of some Kashmir Pandits to fight
against all these cruel activities.
Guruji told the Mughal emperor that if he could succeed in
converting him to Islam, all the Hindus would accept the same.
But, if he failed, he should stop all those activities . The
Mughal emperor happily agreed to that but even after lots of
torture to Guruji and his fellow members he failed to convert him
to Islam and Guruji along with his other four fellow members, were
tortured and sacrificed their lives in Chandni Chowk. Since the
Mughals were unable to convert them to Islam they were
assassinated.

Thus Guruji sacrificed his life for the protection of Hindu
religion. Can anybody lay down his life and that too for the
protection of another religion? This is the reason he is still
remembered* **as "Hind Ki Chaddar"*, shield of India. For the
sake of whom he had sacrificed his life, none Of the them came
forward to lift his body, fearing that they would also be
assassinated
Seeing this incident our 10th Guruji, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji (Son
of Guru Teg Bahadarji) founder of khalsa made a resolution that he
would convert his followers to such human beings who would not be
able to hide themselves and could be easily located in thousands.
At the start, the Sikhs were very few in numbers as they were
fighting against the Mughal emperors. At that time,Nadir Shah
raided Delhi in the year 1739 and looted Hindustan and was carrying
lot of Hindustan treasures and nearly 2200 Hindu women along with
him. The news spread like a fire and was heard by Sardar Jassa
Singh who was the Commander of the Sikh army at that time. He
decided to attack Nadir Shah's Kafila on the same midnight. He did
so and rescued all the Hindu women and they were safely sent to
their homes.
It didn't happen only once but thereafter whenever any Abdaalis or
Iranis had attacked and looted Hindustan and were trying to carry
the treasures and Hindu women along with them for selling them in
Abdal markets, the Sikh army although fewer in numbers but were
brave hearted and attacked them at midnight,12 O'clock and rescued
women.
After that time when there occurred a similar incidence, people
started to contact the Sikh army for their help and Sikhs used to
attack the raider's at Midnight, 12 O'clock.* **Nowadays, these
"smart people" and some Sikh enemies who are afraid of Sikhs, have
spread these words that at 12 O'clock, the Sikhs **go out of their
senses*.
This historic fact was the reason which made me smile over that
person as I thought that his Mother or Sister would be in trouble
and wants my help and was reminding me by saying off 'Sardarji
Barah Baj Gaye'
Plz do forward this mail to all ur friends so they can know about
sikh history &* its a humble appeal PLEASE dont make fun of
RELIGIONS ! as every religion is as pure as urs.*
---mail end----

With the large number of religions in our country, respect all of them, I know my friends respect mine.

Saddam Hussein

Hello people
I have a Computer Exam tomorrow and contrary to popular belief, I did study for it.
I was watching Saddam's Trial today. It was quite funny.

Heres the Link

What I like about him is that even after losing all that he had, he still has total control over himself and most of all, still has Self Respect, which, by the way, matters the most.

That's all I had to say

Amelie

Hello people
Hers something I could scoop up on Amelie

Quotes:
Amélie: It's better to help people than garden gnomes

Georgette: Vive la France.

Narrator
: Amélie still seeks solitude. She amuses herself with silly questions about the world below, such as "How many people are having an orgasm right now?"

Raymond Dufayel aka Glass Man
: So, my little Amélie, you don't have bones of glass. You can take life's knocks. If you let this chance pass, eventually, your heart will become as dry and brittle as my skeleton. So, go get him, for Pete's sake!

Amélie Poulain
: At least you'll never be a vegetable - even artichokes have hearts.

[Amélie hands a begger some money]
Beggar: Sorry madam, I don't work on Sundays.

Old Man at the Two Windmills: Still, true love does exist.
Suzanne, Owner Two Windmills bar: I know. After 30 years behind a bar, I'm an expert. I'll even give you the recipe. Take two regulars, mix them together and let them stew. It never fails.

Bretodeau, The Box Man: Time's funny. When you're a kid, it passes slowly, and next thing you're fifty and your childhood fits into a rusty little box.

Trivia:

The photo booth picture collection is based on a real collection created by a friend of director Jean-Pierre Jeunet. He is credited during the ending credits ("D'après la collection originale de Michel Folco"). A faux photo booth picture collection was created for the film, so that the rights to the real collection did not have to be purchased.

Jean-Pierre Jeunet originally started collecting the stories and memories that make up the story in 1974.

Yann Tiersen was not the original lineup for the soundtrack. Jean-Pierre Jeunet heard the song for the first time while he was being driven to the shooting location.

The one-legged man tap dancing on the TV clip is 'Sam 'Peg Leg' Jackson' , a blues singer

The traveling gnome was inspired a rash of similar pranks played out in England and France in the 1990s. In 1997, a French court convicted the leader of Front de Libération des Nains de Jardins (Garden Gnome Liberation Front) of stealing over 150 gnomes. The idea was later used in an advertising campaign for an Internet travel agency.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams?

Not quite!!
hello friends
Heres my parody of Boulevard of Broken Dreams.. Although I must warn you.. Its really sad.

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know were it goes
But its home to me and I walk alone

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line of the edge
And were I walk alone

Read between the lines of what's
Fucked up and every things all right
Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive
And I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

I walk alone
I walk a...

I had a shiny hose
The only one that I have ever known
I know where it blows
But its lent to me and I wore cologne

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of stolen creams
Where the kitty sleeps
And I'm the only one and I wore cologne

I wore cologne
I wore cologne
I wore cologne
I wore c.

My dog is the only one that walks beside me
My smelly fart’s the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will smell it
Till then I wore cologne

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

I'm walking down the line
That hides me somewhere in my hind
On the broader line of the wedge
And where I wore cologne

Read between the lines of what's
Fucked up and every things all right
Check my vital glands to know I'm still alive
And I wore cologne

I wore cologne
I wore cologne
I wore cologne
I wore c.

My dog is the only one that walks beside me
My smelly fart’s the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will smell it
Till then I wore cologne

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

I wore cologne
I wore c.

France is back!

Hello Friends.

Well, you guessed it. France is back.

I've been holding this entry back for quite a while for basically 2 reasons:
1) I never found the time to post
2) I know you guys are already fed up of france.
Well
Yes, the reason I am posting about France is that its just virtually impossible for me to forget about France. I mean everything I see around me just reminds me of France.eg-

1) Jerk it out- The song. Lola just loved this song. She kept humming it around and when we went to her place on the last day, this song was placed after every 2 songs.

2) Cigarettes- Yes, as much as I hate smoke, everytime I see the fore mentioned thing, France comes back.

3) Movies- These days, every movie seems to be picturized in France. I was seeing this movie today itself which had all the monuments of Paris that we had visited. I personally love Montmartre, I find it pretty romantic.

4) Songs- Yea well, I've been listening to a lot of French songs lately, which have been sent to me by none other than my french friends.

5) Amelie - The movie. I love it so much that I have even downloaded the movie. It is picturized in Paris and I love it.

6) People- When I see the people around me, I cant help but remember all my french friends. I dont like the environment I am living in, I dont like the people I have to put up with, Zat is why I remember all my french friends, who didn't give a blasted rockets used up fuel who I was.

7) I cant remember the rest of the things but I assure you, anything I see, my brain tries its best to associate it with france.

Well coming to the reason why I love France so much?

I have probably mentioned most of them above. Well, for one, I was totally carefree in France because I had just given my boards and was totally free. But here, dont ask me how much I hate my life. Also, I just love the way the french people are. I mean, not even in India would a stranger family treat you as your own kid. But Les BORYSKO were just Family in France.

For some particular reason that I dont know, I was not at all affected when we were leaving Angouleme but now when I look back, I miss the people so much.

Mainu lae chaleeee...

Gudi aakhda jogia jhoot bolen
Ve Kaun Vichhde Yaar Milavandaee

Goodbye! my friends Goodbye!

Thats Delphine for you again

Also, everyone seems to be going to France these days. There was Swati Maam who was in france for the past 3 months, she returned last week. People from my sis' College have gone to France to study. There was this woman from some DU college who got a one year scholarship in INSA(i think). Urmila Matondkar is in France. help me!!!!!!! or just take me!!!!!!

My life nowadays can be best described by the following lines from Ode to the West Wind

I fall upon the thorns of life! I bleed!
A heavy weight of hours has chain'd and bow'd

Yes so thats my state of mind for you.

KARAKAKOU!!!!!!!!
France FOREVER!!!!!!

The Language of Science

Hello People
You all know that I am a science student and well, it aint easy being one.
Theres this thing around that all that the science students should do is study, which I feel is completely Wrong. Also, some teachers go to such an extent that well, all you can do is just pity yourself
Here are a few examples of how the Language of Science is and how it makes me pity myself

Exhibit A
A chemistry teacher.
Scene: A student in her class is talking.
Teacher: Beta.. Aap itna excited kyon rehte. Excited State se Ground State par aa jayo. Aap Stable ho jaoge.

Exhibit B
Another Chemistry Teacher, this time at FIITJEE
Scene: They normally just remain the same. A student was again talking in his class
Teacher: Aap kya kabhi chup nahin reh sakte. Ek dam radioactive element ki tarah Alpha, Beta, Gamma emission karte rehte ho. Jab kuchh nahin maanga hai tab bhi kar rahe ho. Bahut radioactive ho aap. Aapka Half life, rate of disintegration bahut fast hai.

Exhibit C
Mr. Anil K. Verma
Scene: Explaining Rolling Friction

AKV: Lets take for example... If you have a baby at home*. Take it and measure its weight. Now put the baby over yourself, and Roll(Mind you**, the pronunciation of roll is not role but its the like o in doll) it over yourself. You will feel the baby to be lighter. Thus, Friction sometimes aids in motion

* As if babies are simple commodities to be found in everyones house
**"Mind you", said the way Anil K. Verma says it

Thats about it for now
