A Cokey Concoction - I

Hello Friends
Februaries are awfully short months and their shortness is realised only when exams approach. You set your time table(If you do) for finishing the course thinking Feb to be a normal 31 day month but its only towards the end that you realise that you're actually 3 days short. This can cost you, specially if you have boards coming up.

Anyways, Moving to DPSRKP.
You know when you're in Class XI, and you have science, you have practicals before exams. You also have practicals when you're in class 10 but they are nothing, just a formality.
I was asked to define photosynthesis in my bio practicals last year, something that we've been learning since class 3.
Yes, so my point is that Class XI practicals are practicals, you actually have to perform experiments. And if you happen to be like me or dhruv kumar for that matter, youre in trouble mister.
Me- Never attended any Chemistry Practicals before half yearlies and never attended any Physics practicals after half yearlies. In my defence, I do things one step at a time.
Dhruv Kumar- He went a step further, never attended any practicals.

What happened in the Practicals then, you might ask
Chemistry

• Salt Analysis- Well I did all the tests for cations and anions twice, and each time it turned out to be something else. And unless your some person with some super nasal abilities, it is kind of hard to detect ammonia. One more thing, never pour concentrated H2SO4 in a test tube and hold it without a test tube holder, it gets kind of hot.
• Titration- Since I never attended any of the classes when titrations were performed, I didnt quite manage to do it right, but who cares, I wrote rubbish there.
• Chemistry Labs have this weird ability to make you forget everything you tried to memorise, which was very much the case with me. This fact is also strengthened when you see 3 teachers and 2 lab asses around you, all chemists. They have this weird look on their face, like theyre gonna pour Acid over you and then quickly neutralise that with a base and take concordant readings, and then calculate Normality(The teachers are hardly normal). But, then again, Lab Asses are good people
• The Viva was another classic moment. The teacher asked me 3 questions, I didnt quite know all the answers and then let me loose. In my defence, it was the chem lab.
  

Physics

• The experiment in Physics were quite easy, specially because two people were performing it together and there was no problem writing all the stuff we were supposed to.
• Viva- I very confidently gave answers to the questions I knew, to the ones I didnt know, I tried making stories, but its hard when you have this short fat man with spectacles looking at you with a weird grin on his face.

Computers- Saving the best for last

• Alright, so everyone probably knows that I am comp geek. We had 3 hours for the practical. I finished the questions in about 10 mins and then I had to sit there and wait for the teacher to take my viva. A word of advice: Never finish your question early, act like its real tough and you dont know anything(Not if your an exunite). Anyways, my viva was like some courtroom drama, Anita Rathi, she was asking question after question and many didnt even make sense at all. Our Computer Teacher, Mr. Mohit Dey, just checked my practical file, without even looking at it. Everything was over in about 25 minutes and the rest of the day was spent in playing basketball. Oh, and I got full in comp pracs, but then again whos counting?
