Thats what the level of Journalism has fallen to.. Death of Fish???
They actually called the police and stuff because the holy fih had been murdered(yes, that is the word that they used)
And guess which channel showed this news... None other than the best news channel Aaj Tak.
I had been telling my dad about the falling level of journalism in India and particularly that of Aaj Tak
See, Aaj Tak, first of all shows far too many advertisements. Then, it shows too many crime shows. Lastly, it repeats its news bulletins far too many times. i wonder why they give them the best news channel award always
I had been waiting for a day to come when i would hear
" Dilli ke, _____ nagar ilake mein ek kaale rang ke kutte ki maut ho gayi hai. Maana jaata hai ki woh kutta dil ka bahut achha tha. Is kutte ka naam tha Tommy(thats original). Is ilake ke bachche bahut dukhi ho gaye hain is kutte ke jaane ke baad."
translated it means
"A black dog has died in ____ nagar area of Delhi. It is believed that the dog was very good at heart. The dog was named tommy. The children of the area are very sad after the dogs death"
It wasnt a dog in this bulletin... ahh, well they were close enough

You're so true!!! Man ure sooo true. Wen i was in Manali...dey were flashing this news dat some guy finally passed class 10th after 10yrs....n thruout the day they kept flashin d headlines dat "Pappu pass ho gaya!!" Geeze! Its pathetic!!

My mom's bin watchin BBC recently n i tell u ........ my ears refuse to lissen ne more......DEY REPEAT EVERYTHIN A TRILLION TIMES! De news bout Michael Jackson bein pronounced not guilty on all 10 charges........i literally knew dat off by heart... de no. of times i heard it! N i never eva understood y day gave Aaj Tak de best channel award.....i mean let alone de news even de advertisemants r soooooooooo pathetic dat u think hu de hell makes such stuff!

Forgot to add....journalism has stooped down to the lowest level in India...not only aaj tak...or news channels...even newspapers...full of sponsor ads and bullshit news...n im sure sometimes they make half of it up....disgusting gossips...write bout evrythin...do nothin...n now the new trend of games...win prizes...God save us!!

Journalism always sucked, imo. And as for aaj tak, I wonder what Mr. Verma woud have to say about that.
i sorta agree with R saying that everything is sensationalized but theyr taking it a bit too far.. i mean who is going to lap up a story bout dead fish? and im not sure journalism has stooped all that much.. maybe its just aaj tak.. for example bbc and cnn are still brilliant news channels.. and yeah given that theyr foreign news channels and everything.. but u cant just say that journalismz become pathetic.. becoz it really hasnt..newspapers are still doing a really great job.. rashi x

akhil's right dude, 24 hours on the air, 30 pages print- it's a classic case of excesses. there's no way that there'll be so much good content.
dude.. u know what.. your worst fears already came true long ago.. u'll find it hard to believe.. but i precisely remember this one instance.. a coupla yrs ago vajpayee(when he was pm) was off to manali on his annual vacation. and aaj tak had no intentions to give mr pm some private time with his family. they went there, made an extended news report on the vajpayee clan's daily activities.. focussed the camera on all his family members. the #$%#$%@! journalist didnt spare even his dog.. and i remember the servile creature was like.. "yeh vajpayee ji ka kutta brownie hai. unke parivar ke anusar brownie bade sharmile aur sankochi swabhav ka hai" .. and i couldnt believe me ears!!
